European Tourism Day 2014: Key Challenges For The Future Of European Tourism

On 1 December 2014, together with other representatives of the European tourism industry participated our President, Martin Plachý, and our Secretary General, Joachim Lieber in the open discussions on the future competitiveness and sustainable growth of European tourism. Martin Plachý emphasized that support for tourism shall be increased, that it is important to debate about Europe’s promotion in third countries, that the European Commission is needed as Co-ordinator of bottom-up initiatives and further that protection of our citizens shouldn’t lead to over regulating the market and making it non-competitive.
